    Why is Abigail inserting herself into these situations? When Betty woke up and supposedly started naming witches why did Abigail feel the nead to suddenly pipe up?

    When Hale first came to visit john and Elizabeth proctor, did he come over with the intention of taking elizabeth? Did he know she was convicted of witchcraft?

    2) Why does everyone assume what happened to the children was witch craft?

  7. Why was Act II Scene 2 removed from the original play when being published/performed? Is this significant in any way to the plot or development of the characters?

    Does the majority of the towns people actually believe in witchcraft or are they playing along with the other, more gullible villagers for their own personal gain?

    2. Do you think that the people of Salem are actually believing in witchcraft, or are they not smart enough to search for another answer to all of their troubles?

  10. 1. Since they live such strict religious lives by the bible, why do they believe that when you confess to a sin and accuse someone of their own wrongdoings at the same times as admirable? Why do they believe it is the most effective way to ask for forgiveness?

    2. Is there more to the story of the Putnam's babies all dying, and why do they think it defenitly has to do with witchcraft or something supernatural?

    Why is everybody overreacting and jumping to conclusion so quickly about witchcraft, why witchfraft in the first place?
